DJ SIED VAN RIEL
Dropped into this world back in 78, Rotterdam's son Sied van Riel smashed into dance scene in early 2006. The former Dutch hardcore champion turned from a local hero to one of Europe's most sought after producers within a year. It took a decade to find out where the riel passion flows till he discovered the emotions he was looking for in progressive and trance, and basically fell in love with it. Sied van Riel's debut release FEARLESS, signed to Miika Kuisma's Finish Label Subtraxx, spotted the up-and-coming right in the middle of playlists from major spinners like Tisto, Markus Schulz or Above & Beyond. The follow up MY DREAMS on Expedition Music captivated the elite again, Paul van Dyk hooked it up to his ?World’s Number One Victory DJ MAG TOP 100 mix! His warm, deep and driving productions conquered great response so it's no wonder that remix requests flooded the Spijkenisse back office immediately. Wherever you turn in '007 you'll see his name! A remix for Miika Kuisma's ONE STEP BEHIND THE MANKIND on the Finnish label Subtraxx, a mix for Adam White's debut release on the UK label Emalodic called NEVER TELL WHAT YOU THINK, US based label Real Music engaged him to rework Italian's Amex SPIRALS, a Jan Johnston remix with colleague DJ Dazzle for Belgium's F-Active Music, SvR's hands on Arctic Quest ft Anita Kelsey SHATTERED DREAMS for Amsterdam's Expedition Music, a driving Booty of the German classic Tomcraft LONELINESS is blowing roofs everywhere with plays by the usual suspects and last but not least he signed his new release CHANGING PLACES to mighty Spinnin' Records! Regular radio shows on Paul van Dyk's station VONYC.com, South Africa's Sound Republic Radio and the Greek Danceradio FM as well as several guest performances as for Tillmann Uhrmacher's Sunshine Live Maximal, Menno DeJongs Intuition Radio and many more gained an even bigger SvR Music friends and fan base. Behind the decks you found him in the Netherlands dropping the needle at events like INTUITON NIGHTS, he rocked Belgium, took over Istanbul, Antalya and Cyprus and joined Tiesto's 'In Search of Sunrise 5 Tour' with great success! Joop

Joop was born in 1975 in the city of Leeuwarden in The Netherlands. His first contact with the world of vinyl, headphones and turntables was at the tender age of thirteen. Three years later he started spinning the decks at a local club in his hometown on Friday’s and Saturday’s. Playing in this club Joop fell in love with deejaying, getting to know how to read the crowd and giving them what they want, without losing his own specific sound. This is still his big trademark as a deejay and producer today, which people all over the world acknowledge on the dancefloor. His big breakthrough as a deejay was playing at Trance Energy Mainstage in The Netherlands.

As a deejay Joop perfectly knows how get a party started. Playing a sound that holds it between real trance, techhouse/progressive and techtrance, he gives a very energetic, uplifting and powerful drive to the evening. Joop has a great build up in his sets, using moments of stillness to really get the crowd going. Joop of course regularly performs in his home country The Netherlands and he also often does gigs in Germany, Belgium, Ierland, Switzerland, China and Turkey. Some venues and events Joop has performed are L.E.F. alongside Ferry Corsten, Dance Tour, Jama Club in Poland, Asta, Samdundet in Norway and Faces in Turkey. Also he performed at the biggest Dutch parties: twice at Mystery Land, three times during Trance Energy and also twice during Sensation Black and Innercity. Together with Marco V, Johan Gielen, Dana, Yves de Ruyter and Armin van Buuren he also joined the ID&T Radio Tour. On the Dutch ranking list of international deejays DJ Joop is listed as number 48 in 2005.

Having established a solid reputation in the club- and techtrance scene, as well in The Netherlands as abroad, Joop went on as a producer, launching the 12” Act of God in 2002 on the ID&T-label. Act of God made out to be a huge hit all over the world and was played by many well known deejays like Cosmic Gate, Cor Fijneman, Marcel Woods and Armin van Buuren. Joop’s second release is ‘Sonsuz’, a powerful trance production, which contains Turkish vocals. The flip side contains a huge remix by upcoming Black Hole Recordings-artist Mark Norman. Sonsuz had a huge rotation by dj’s like Armin van Buuren, Cor Fijnenman, Johan Gielen, Simon Patterson and Judge Jules. His new track is The World/Another Wolrd, a floorfiller which was already hammered by Tiesto during Tiesto in Concert.

Joop also mixed the official ID&T compilation-
CD for Trance Energy 2002.
